Living Learning
Center for
Sustainable and Sacred Living
“The blessings of the Mountain are subtle yet powerful, loving
yet demanding, peaceful yet may change your reality forever.”
The Mountain is a very sacred place that moves to the Ancient wisdom of
Oneness with all things, calling forth the conscious knowing of who we are,
why we are here and the peace and joy of being welcome and highly
purposeful.
All humankind shares a sacred kinship that
flourishes when we recognize our abilities to share our talents and time in ways which
benefit one another. Sacred Ground has been a gathering place, a haven and a school for
the peoples from around the world. We learn from and exchange our unique gifts, while
pursuing our commitment to sacred living. Sustainable and Sacred
Living is a
new quest for all of us as we seek to live in greater harmony with ourselves,
our
environment and each other.
Slice of Life - Activities
Our classes are “in the
field”. Experience is a wonderful teacher.
“Speak to the earth and it shall teach thee.”
We know this is true. We spend time with the Earth, touch Her, sleep upon Her and
work in collaboration with Her,
Our staff includes skilled, and unskilled
people. Some are employed, most are volunteers.
People have been coming here from all over the world for years and many wish to return and
we invite the many more who wish to come. We call your stay with us a slice of life. The activities vary as you
live and work with us as a family.
- Come, spend time with us
- Put your toes and fingers into the gardens!
- Harvest and process
medicinal plants
- Fix fence in the horse and buffalo pastures
- Build the new corrals
- Feed and care for animals (one buffalo will
even let you scratch her!)
- The Sacred Hunt
- Gentle
and train the Paints and Mustangs (yes, hands
on!)
- Join outings to our favorite sacred places
- Sleep under the stars high on the mountain
(we love our campouts)
Go boating and swimming in the Big Horn
Canyon - spectacular beyond words! A great cool down after long warm days too.
- Campfires and lots of stories and laughter
- Put your toes up and rest
- Sacred space and private time
We live and play and work with love and
zest
we look forward to knowing you.
THE GARDENS
We are expanding our garden area (previously
for personal use only) to include several areas around the ranch proper. This gives us
diversity in soil, sun, water, wind, temperature, etc. and enables us to implement many
different growing modalities. Orchards and wild berry patches are in the
plan. As in life, there are many ways to accomplish a goal and we
are exploring as many as our area and the Mother will allow. We begin with
common sense and proceed to studies including:
- Permaculture

- Methods of Perlandra and Findhorn
- Fed by Sound Wave Energy
(from SWE by Nicole LeVoie) and agriculture
Harmonizers (from Slim Spurling, Geobiologist &
global environmental specialist )
To say the least, this is exciting!
- Native American
- The way grandma did it and much more!
THE GOAL: To feed the Body,
Mind and Spirit. The hands and hearts of many will participate and many will
learn and benefit. The food raised is shared with our family and members of
the community.
WILD MEDICINALS, HERBS AND ALTERNATIVE HEALING
Much to our delight the world is now abuzz
with alternative methods of achieving wellness for body, mind and spirit. We have been
wildcrafting our local medicinal and edible plants and conducting what we call
Medicine Walks that others may learn. We continue to do this and now include
the growing of the most common herbs used for Aromatherapy and Medicine. We have many
experts in these fields and look forward to our own further learning and
sharing.
Alternative healing is multilevel and multifaceted so I will briefly say that we are
extensive and varied in our work with the animals, people, and the land.
We draw on our own experience & guidance as well as a
world-wide network of healers, scientists and the latest "alternative" news
sources. If you are
specifically interested in this field or wish to work
with us "hands on", please contact us and we can address your questions.
Footnote:
Inquire about our herbal tinctures & infusions now available to the public.
We are introducing "ancient" herbs and 'weeds' that we consider a
staple in our diet and medicine cupboards. Read about them in
Horse Tales.
Notice: We are currently
out of stock and will have more at summers end. We have yet to harvest and
this would be a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to participate and
learn this truly fun process!
